About the work

Created exclusively for the Whitechapel Gallery Roni Horn, this limited edition is a Whitechapel Gift, an annual commission created by established and highly sought-after contemporary artists. The proceeds from the Whitechapel Gift support the gallery's pioneering education programmes, helping to develop the talents of the next generation of Britain's leading artists.

About the artist

Born in 1955, USA artist Roni Horn, works in various media including sculpture, text, works on paper and photography. Her subject matter for the last 30 years has often been drawn from her intimate involvement with the climate, culture and geology of Iceland, with more recent work exploring notions of duality and the ways in which our lives reflect or 'mirror' nature.

Selected exhibitions

Horn has exhibited at The Whitney Museum of American Art, New York; Tate Modern; Documenta, Kassel; Venice Biennale; Hauser & Wirth, Zurich; Gagosian, Los Angeles; MOMA, New York; P.S.1 Contemporary Art Centre, Long Island; Guggenheim, Bilbao and Centre George Pompidou, Paris.

Whitechapel Gallery editions are generously donated by the artists. All proceeds from the sale of these works directly support our exhibition and education programmes.

As is traditional in editions publishing, prices will rise as an edition starts to sell out. The price shown includes VAT for EU customers and is zero-rated for customers from outside the EU.
