Delivery Information

*COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Update*
OUR BOOKS & MERCHANDISE ONLINE SHOP IS TEMPORARILY CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

YOU CAN STILL ORDER OUR ARTISTS' EDITIONS
Our
artists’ editions are still available to buy online. All orders placed while the Gallery is closed will be dispatched or made available for collection when we reopen. Please email us on editions@whitechapelgallery.org for more details.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, deliveries are taking a little longer than usual. We thank you for your patience and support at this time. Our delivery times and costs are based on our shipper's most recent information. Shipping times and costs can change as the Covid-19 situation evolves. Always check here for the most up-to-date information. If you have any queries, our small and dedicated team will be happy to assist: mailorder@whitechapelgallery.org

Large editions and framed editions may incur higher shipping rates. Fragile or 3D artworks may require custom crating and bespoke shipping quotes.

COLLECTION

If you have chosen to pick up your order from the Gallery, you will receive an email notification when the order is ready for collection. We aim to have books and merchandise orders ready for collection within 1 week and artists’ editions within 2 weeks.

Opening hours are Tuesday–Sunday, 11am–6pm, with late closing at 9pm on Thursdays. When you come, please bring your email confirmation (either printed or on a smartphone) with you and show it to a member of Visitor Services staff at the Information Desk. They will be able to assist you with the collection.

DUTIES, TAX AND SERVICE CHARGES

If your delivery address is not within the United Kingdom, you may be subject to import duties, taxes and delivery service charges, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. You will need to pay any additional charges for customs clearance. Please note that customs policies vary widely from country to country and we advise you to contact your local customs office for further information. Please be aware that cross-border shipments are subject to opening and inspection by customs authorities.

Artists’ editions with a value over $2500 may require the US customs service to request ID from the recipient (examples include EIN, SSN, VAT, GST, RFC). Our courier may try to contact you for additional information to clear the parcel through customs. This is just a formality as there is no import tax or duties on artworks. If you encounter any problems, please contact us and the team will be happy to assist.
