Sarah Lucas rose to fame in the early 1990s as a key figure in a generation of 'Young British Artists'. Her work explores multiple aspects of popular culture, expressed through a variety of media and characterised by its bold, defiant approach.

Lucas has exhibted at White Cube, London; Portikus, Frankfurt am Main, Germany; The Freud Museum, London and Tate Modern, London. Lucas' work has also been shown in group exhibitions worldwide, including but not limited to, the Museum of Modern Art, New York; Musèe National d'Art Moderne, Centre George Pompidou, Paris; Tokyo Museum of Contemporary Art, Tokyo; Tate Modern, London; Victoria and Albert Museum, London; National Gallery, London and Centre d'Art Santa Monica, Barcelona Spain.
