About the work

Shahin Afrassiabi produced this limited edition to accompany his work in the 2002 exhibition Early One Morning at Whitechapel Gallery.

About the artist

Shahin Afrassiabi was born 1963 in Tehran, Iran. Afrassiabi's three-dimensional assemblages of building and decorating materials play between Modernist art histories and the world of DIY. In the style of the home improvement manual, the two-dimensional artwork he has produced for the exhibition Early One Morning (6 July - 8 Sept 2002) reflects his interest in making art from the commonplace and the everyday. Afrassiabi currently lives and works in London.
